MICHAEL DYLAN WELCH is a poet/writer/editor/publisher near San Francisco. Born 1962 in England; also grew up in Ghana, Australia, Canada. MA in English; edits/publishes Press Here haiku books; edited Woodnotes(1989-1997); now edits Tundra, also haiku-focused. Has been officer of Haiku Society of America and Haiku Poets of Northern California. Cofounded biennial Haiku North America conference (1991), and American Haiku Archive (established 1996 at California State Library). Has edited anthologies of haiku, senryu, tanka. Editor of computer books for well-known publisher. Also an editor of Spring, journal of E. E. Cummings Society. Enjoys skiing, racquetball, photography, books, music, hiking, and travel.
